.QLOG CORP AND ISO-9001
As the benefit of ISO 9000 became apparent, QLog Corp. began to investigate what having a formal quality system would mean to its business.
Although no customers of QLog Corp. were requiring ISO 9000 compliance, QLog Corp. realized that a quality system based on ISO 9000 would help assure customers of continued product quality and reliability.
In April, 1995, QLog Corp. made the commitment to become ISO 9000 certified. The process has involved the following steps:
- Management commitment was obtained.
- A quality assurance manager was appointed who would assume the responsibility of leading the ISO 9000 certification process.
- The quality manual was written, approved and released.
- Procedures have been written which detail how the requirements specified in the quality manual shall be satisfied.
- Work instructions have been written detailing how specific tasks are accomplished.
- The President approved the Quality Policy, which specifies the quality philosophy of QLog Corp.
. Quality Milestones
The scope of QLog's Quality Management System certification is as follows: Engineering Design and Manufacture of Printed Circuit Boards, Assemblies and Electronic Equipment.
